Today Turtle explored a magical place called Fort Funston with his friends Preston, Wasabi, Freddy and Rocket.
What's a visit to the beach without a little hole digging...
T was anxious for his friends to arrive.
At last!
The sniff and greet.
Hello Wasabi. Nice to meet you too.
Did somebody say treat?
Goodbye Rocket - see you next time!

Turtle's first trip
Turtle recovered from his surgery just in time to enjoy his Thanksgiving trip to Colorado. Here he is with his new "go bag" that was packed with all his favorite toys and treats.
Turtle got to play with his cousin Daryl who is twelve years old, but who still gave T a run for his money.
He also got to meet his cousins Bella and Macy. The three of them had fun showing Tyler all the tricks they know.
But the best treat of all was the snow that fell on our last day in town. After eating half the snow in the yard, Turtle had a wheee of a time running through the rest. He can't wait to go back at Christmas!

Turtle's nemesis
Turtle is home recovering after his neuter surgery. He wouldn't let me post a picture of him, because he didn't want his fans to see him "in such a state." But he said I could post a picture of his nemesis as a warning to all other dogs: When you see the cone come out - run!

Turtle's graduation
We're very proud of Turtle - he graduated from Puppy K last weekend! He loved going to "scoo" and made sure to sit in the front row so he could hear everything the teacher said.
Here's Turtle and Tyler outside of scoo on the first day (they were both a little nervous).
Turtle learned how to jump over poles. He was so fast the camera couldn't even catch him.
The teacher said he gives the best hand shake in the class, so Turtle was sure to do it over and over again just to make sure it was perfected.
And here he is having a race with his friend Chavvi. Turtle lost, but he was still a good sport and cheered Chavvi on in the finals.
Turtle can't wait for Jr. High!

Turtle + Freddy
Turtle had a great time getting to know his relative, Freddy. From a distance it was hard to tell the two of them apart! We hope that Rocket and Preston can make our next Puggle meet-up.

Turtle's first time at the beach - wheeeeee!
Turtle was a little hesitant at first...
But then he realized how refreshing the sea breeze could be when it blew his floppy ears...ahhhh.
And how perfect the sand was for digging.
A great day was had by all.

Work is easy
That's what Turtle told us when he got back from his Google field trip. Here he is doing a team building exercise...that was a piece of cake.
Networking was pretty easy too...
Turtle was also careful to recognize and celebrate peer achievements...
Based on such a strong showing, Turtle thinks his odds of being promoted in 2008 are pretty strong.

Turtle cam
Last week we told you about Turtle's new daycare, Muttley Crew. Christine (owner) took a few videos of Turtle playing with the other puppies and posted them to her YouTube channel. No wonder he was so tired!

Turtle's big break
After all the auditions and open calls, Turtle finally got his time in the spotlight:
Front page of the Daily Puppy!
Here are some early reviews from the critics:
"Love the name and the fat little puppy belly."
-Rocketdog
"I can hardly stand it he is so cute - almost have to nibble on my computer at his picture."
-Texas
We're going out to buy Turtle a hat and sunglasses so he won't be recognized on his walks. As he told me this morning, "Ma, I'm kind of a big deal now."

Turtle's interview
Today Turtle had a very important interview with Christine at Muttley Crew SF. She asked him a lot of really tough questions about his personal hygiene, teamwork, and overall outlook on life. Besides farting halfway through the interview, Turtle must have done ok because Christine said he could start coming to puppy playcare! His first day is Thursday, so we'll be sure to let you know how it goes.

Big T
Turtle went to Dr. Wong today for more puppy shots and also got weighed - 9lbs 2oz! That means he's gained just over a pound ever week we've had him. Good job T.

Guy's night
Turtle is feeling a lot better. It's a good thing, because he needed to help Tyler pick his Fantasy Football team.

Turtle is sad cuz he has roundworm
Dr. Wong called today with the results of Turtle's stool sample: roundworm. We won't post pictures for this one, but if you want to see what they look like you can visit this website. We gave Turtle a pill tonight that puts the worms asleep so he can pass them. Hoping it happens real quick.

Poor Turtle
Turtle has been sick for a couple days now with an upset tummy. We had to take him to visit Dr. Wong this weekend and now we're waiting for the results from his stool sample and getting no sleep.

Turtle's new park
The circle part in the middle is where the big dogs play. Turtle has to wait a few more weeks to join that crew. Right now he likes playing with us over in the corner of the baseball diamond.

Turtle comes home tomorrow!
Tomorrow morning we'll be heading to the Frontier Airlines cargo building to pick up Turtle after his long flight from Oklahoma (fully equipped with wet ones and towels in case of any stress-induced accidents). We've been told he passed his last vet check with flying colors and was proclaimed "healthiest and cutest puppy" ever. Many photos to come...

New Turtle photos!
Check out our growing boy. He's almost filling out that lawn chair. It's crazy to see how much he's changed in only a couple weeks. The breeder said Turtle sends us "hugs & kisses." Not really sure how that works, but I'm rolling with it.

Turtle with his bros
Here's a shot of Turtle and two of his eight(!) siblings. They were about a week old at this point. I like the guy with the helicopter ears.
